Veinte restaurantes españoles se posicionan en la lista europea
Opinated About Dining (OAD) ha anunciado en una gala celebrada en el Royal Hospital Chelsea de Londres los resultados de uno de sus rankings más emblemáticos el Top 100+ European Restaurants. El suizo Schloss Schauenstein encabeza la lista este 2018. Su chef, Andreas Caminada, pasó cinco años formándose en varias cocinas, incluyendo la de Claus-Peter Lumpp en el Bareiss, hasta que a los 25 años decidió abrir su propio restaurante, Schloss Schauenstein, en la que es oficialmente la ciudad más pequeña del mundo, Fürstenau. En siete años Schloss Schauenstein ha conseguido incluirse en las mejores guías culinarias.
El restaurante nórdico Fäviken de Magnus Nilsson ocupa la segunda posición este año, seguido por el asador vasco Etxebarri, de Víctor Arguinzoniz, que ocupa el tercer lugar. El restaurante L’Arpège de Alain Passard, que ocupó el primer puesto en 2016 y 2017, ha bajado a la cuarta posición, seguido del restaurante Azurmendi, de Eneko Atxa, dando así al País Vasco dos de los cinco primeros puestos de la lista.

Entre los primeros cincuenta restaurantes de la lista 13 son españoles. Entre ellos destaca la imporante subida en puestos del barcelonés Disfrutar (Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch y Mateu Casañas) que ha escalado 17 posiciones situándose este año en el número 12 de la lista. Ca l’Enric, en La Vall de Bianya, le sigue de cerca subiendo 16 puestos y logrando el número 28 de la clasificación. Ángel León, con Aponiente, también protagoniza una subida notable pasando de la posición 36 a la 25.
Quique Dacosta (9), Tickets (39) y Martín Berasategui (49) han experimentado un ligero descenso y las bajadas más importantes han sido para el Sant Pau de Carme Ruscalleda, que pasa del puesto 14 al 27; El Celler de Can Roca, que baja 7 puestos para situarse en el 22, y DiverXO, que desciende 6 y se queda en el 33.
Las nuevas incorporaciones españolas entre esos primeros 50 puestos han sido para los restaurantes catalanes Els Casals (43) y Enigma (44)
